My name is Innocent Josiah, popularly known as 2NEW. I am from **Delta State, Nigeria**, and I am proud to be **Urhobo** by tribe. Music has always been a part of my life. My journey began when I was just five years old, and from that young age, I knew that creating music was more than a hobby—it was my calling.
Career Journey: From The Beginning To Where I am Today
As I grew older, my passion continued to develop. In 2011, while studying at Delta State Polytechnic, Oghara, my talent earned me recognition across the campus. My music resonated with students, and I quickly became one of the most talked-about artists within the school community. That support and encouragement motivated me to keep pushing forward.
Challenges, Fame, Validation and Projects
My influence continued to grow, and in 2015, I was honoured with the responsibility of serving as the **Music Head of the entire school**. It was a defining moment in my journey, confirming that hard work, consistency, and dedication always produce results.
Today, my story is entering another exciting chapter. 2026 has become one of the most significant years of my career. Over the past months, I have received recognition and validation from respected personalities in the entertainment industry, including Geh Geh, Rudeboy, Fola, and Mr Eazi. Most recently, VeryDarkMan shared one of my videos on his Instagram Story, introducing my work to an even wider audience and giving me another major boost.
Beyond these recognitions, I have built a growing online community, with more than 67,000 organic followers on TikTok. Every follower represents a real person who connected with my music, my creativity, and my journey. That support reminds me every day that consistency is rewarded.
